In this month’s Advertiser Spotlight, we speak to Alex Fallowfield, Head of Digital at Eyeko about their affiliate programme and what 2018 has in store for the brand.
Can you tell us a bit more about Eyeko and the story behind the brand?
Established in 1999, Eyeko offers a tight-edit of innovative and high-performance mascara, liner and brow products.
Created in London and made with Korean beauty-know-how, the award-winning line is favoured by influential makeup artists, beauty editors and celebrities. Acclaimed for reinventing mascara with signature zero-waste squeezy tubes, enriching, pro-vitamin formulas and unique body boosting brushes that deliver what they promise.
What is in store for Eyeko as we head into 2018?
There is so much coming up with some incredibly exciting and industry-first new product launches. As the premium mascara experts, you can find your perfect match with custom-made Bespoke Mascara, a unique game-changing service allowing you to create your own mascara in three easy steps which is available online in the UK now. This will be launching internationally before the year-end.
Our innovative new lash curler uses Korean ergonomic design for enhanced performance and optimum curl. It is plumped up for extra comfort to banish bent lashes, eliminating the need to pump the curler to create the perfect wide-eyed look. The set includes a travel size Lash Alert Mascara with a shot of caffeine and a double dose of fibres for a wide-awake lash look.
Moving onto your affiliate programme – what kind of publishers are you looking to work with and recruit?
We’re very flexible as a business and see the opportunity within most verticals. Ultimately, we want to raise awareness of Eyeko because once consumers try the products, they fall in love with them. If publishers have an audience that we know will love Eyeko, then we absolutely want to work with them.
What incentives and opportunities can publishers joining the Eyeko programme expect to receive?
We offer a very generous commission structure, up to 20% for our most premium partners, with a baseline starting at 10%. As an agile business and can create exclusive codes quickly and we are always open to opportunities. Our onsite conversion rate is over 3% and we offer a free gift with every purchase which is very appealing to our customers.
With influencers playing a huge role in the beauty vertical, are there any other opportunities you can offer to bloggers and content publishers specifically?
We believe in being generous with product sampling, once a customer tries the range they fall in love with it. This works well for influencers. We also treat them as an extension of our team – influencers for us really are part of the Eyeko family.
What is the biggest focus of the Eyeko affiliate programme for 2017 and beyond?
The big focus is to increase awareness across the US and UK whilst continuing to develop an industry-leading collection.
